WAIPARA PINOT NOIR 2019

VINEYARD

The Crater Rim Waipara Pinot Noir fruit was sourced from twovineyards in the Waipara Valley.

The vines were low cropped and sustainably managed toprovide fruit of great flavour depth, structure and integrity.

SOIL TYPE

50% Silty clay overlaying calcareous sandy gravels

50% Sedimentary calcareous clay

WINEMAKING

The fruit was fermented in small open top vats, usingnatural yeasts followed by 15 months maturation on lees in new and seasonedFrench oak barriques. After barrel maturation, the wine was bottled withoutfining or filtration.

TASTING NOTES

Gorgeously ripe and inviting with dark cherry, sweet plum,floral, hazelnut and subtle mushroom aromas, the wine offers terrific fruitconcentrated and persistency, while remaining elegant and harmonious.
